I spent the bulk of my career in Asia studying companies, industries and cycles — a tour of boom and bust, hyper-growth, wealth creation, consumption and technology. At leading investment banks I ran sales teams adding value to hedge funds, quant funds, institutional investors and sovereign wealth funds.

Along the way I developed a passion for data-focused decision making and for using technology to drive productivity. In 2017 I founded Parkfields Investment: I advise B2B companies on marketing strategy, positioning, product and M&A, and run an active portfolio of public and private investments.

Today AI does much of the heavy lifting — research, analysis, modelling, visualisation. It is fast and often brilliant, but it is not accountable. That part is my job.
